Philodendron 'Splendid' — 8" Pot

Philodendron 'Splendid' is a hybrid of P. verrucosum and P. melanochrysum — combining the velvety, dark foliage of melanochrysum with the textured, hairy petioles of verrucosum. The result is large, heart-shaped leaves with a deep green, almost black velvet surface and lighter veining.

This is a collector's Philodendron. It appreciates higher humidity and consistent warmth, and it climbs — a moss pole will encourage larger leaf development.

Light: Medium to bright indirect. Avoid direct sun on the velvety leaves.
Water: When the top inch of soil is dry. Chunky, airy mix recommended.
