Rattlesnake Plant — 6" Pot (Goeppertia insignis)

The Rattlesnake Plant is one of the more dramatic members of the Calathea family (now reclassified as Goeppertia). Long, lance-shaped leaves with a distinctive spotted pattern on top and deep purple undersides — the whole plant has movement, curling slightly at night and opening again in the morning.

Like all prayer plants, it prefers humidity and consistent moisture without waterlogging. Not the most forgiving plant, but the foliage is worth the extra attention.

Light: Medium indirect. Avoid direct sun, which bleaches the markings.
Water: Keep soil lightly moist. Sensitive to tap water — filtered or rainwater preferred.
